TERRORISM

This piece of news rather an emergency broke out and caught my attention not just because of its nature but most importantly the type of people involved. Recently an IT professional Yahya Iyash kammakutty was arrested being suspected of having links with a terror outfit. Now this news involves a malayalee which is one of the reason for my response. The most amazing part of this is that the boy involved is a highly educated and employed person. Having passed out of REC Calicut(now NIT C) means that he is definitely a guy of substance and forms the creme dela creme of the state. This further raises the issue that how highly educated and employed youths (including medical professionals, as was the case of the australian indian doctor) fall prey to such anti-social elements. I firmly believe that the education system must supplement itself to not just raise the technical skills of the person involved but to raise the moral conduct, behaviour and responsibility to the society in general. Saying so i dont wish to add disrepute to my Muslim brothers (because terrorists definitely dont have any religion and they emphasise on hatred and terror which is totally in opposition with the ethics of ALL RELIGIONS). This sort of fundamentalist fellings can arise in all religions and many such terror groups are entertained by a number of such anti-social elements in all religions and sects. Saying so it is my humble request to all people who read this that ALL religions were made so as to promote love, harmony and peace among people. let us all promote these fellings and not be made a puppet in the hands of these people.
As amma teaches us
"LOKAH SAMASTHA SUKINO BHAVANTU"(let peace prevail everywhere).

FATHER-THE YACHT OF LOVE

The visual personification of god

Love in its most genuine and natural mode

A stream of boundless compassion

This divinity is the essence of my father

Anger does whelm from his heart

It hits one’s chest like a dart

The reason though difficult to comprehend

Finally ends in an apprehension

Well this may be a routine

Yet as age does the trick

To be labeled as being sick

Now I wonder who the father is?????

But the warmth of that hug

Still imprints my mind

God bless me again

To be born to thy

CHILDHOOD

To be irresponsible is the responsibility of a child

When Einstein talked about Relativity

I am talking about Reality

Childhood is the essence of life

My youth of what I remember

Though is restricted to December

To think of Christmas

Is an Easter of memories of yester years

Today I look at the mirror

To be fooled at what I have become

Well it still hurts me when I think

What has happened?

Well I don’t know

I am none but a mimic

In this world of no reality

And to be illiterate about this

Is the worst CRIME!!!!!!!

Religion and Science

Now to write a few words on this unusual yet extremely sensitive topic began a few years back when i began to question a number of things happening around us. Now having heard the various pros and cones of the topic in full volumes my conclusion is that religion and science are the two facets of the human mind and looking at the other through a orthodox approach of one would always lead to the complete supression of other. Being a student of science my most logical opinion would be that the creation of gods and religions is the need for human mind to destress by looking for someone more powerful and extremely perfect(perfection is only a manifestation of godly power). Now this search lead to the invention of the vast number of myths that people began to spread and finally religons but as long as nothing bad is being propogated and nothing bad is being followed, nothing wrong in following any faith. But being a Hindu and walking through one of the greatest journey of human life i.e. to walk through the spiritually charged sabarimala hills and reaching the abode of the swami ayyappa would spread in ones mind the greatest feeling of happiness and bliss. Something that is quite inexplicable but definitely a feeling that transcends any pleasures that we feel on earth. But saying so why is religious communalism and terrorism progressing ?????? My reason to it is that it is more of a question of superiority complex. When one religion tries to show or claim that it is the greatest unquestionable wonder(but none are, all religions are myths to a large extent....... more of make believe..........history as recorded is a one mans perspective and cant be claimed to be extremely correct nor completely false)......................
So instead of worrying about the sanctity of religion let us follow the good teachings of our religion and my feeling is if ultimately the god to whom we worship was different , one would definitely be forgiven because god as per all religion is a force that unites love, forgiveness and supremacy in one. And this force will definetely understand (who else will) because religion being more like a hereditary phenomenon is more or less forced on one when one is born and if one tries to convert ones religion we end up hurting ones mother and father who ultimately are the reason for ones life on earth.
As the saying goes
"Mata, Pita , Guru and Deivam".
lets follow ones own religion and learn to respect other religions and let us all imbibe a beautiful thought
"To err is human but to forgive is divine"
